In the " Contempo " theme - like in some other themes - the expandable / collapsible widgets on the sidebar such as " Blog Archive " and " Labels " are usually collapsed when the page loads. You can, of course, expand each of them manually, but until you do, they are collapsed. If you - like me - don't like your sidebar widgets collapsed by default, please read on to find out how you can "uncollapse" them, that is, make them expanded by default. I did it in this blog because I prefer it this way.

As promised, here is my experience in reducing the height of the image at the top of the page in the " Contempo " theme (Google Blogger). The problem : To me the image at the top of the page seemed to large. Besides, it happened to affect the position of the side bar on the left on larger screens where it is always visible. I decided to make it smaller. But ran into an issue, which I had to take care of, too.

As you have probably noticed, I managed to customize the blog's looks a little bit. I haven't sorted out the issues described in my previous posts but I made some changes to handle at least one of them. This wasn't a solution but a workaround which I can live with.

In addition to the issue with the "Contempo" theme I described in my previous post , I've run into a few more. This certainly doesn't help the case and is pressuring me to dump the theme and go for something less troublesome. On the other hand, I really want to stay on this theme - maybe with a few tweaks - because I kind of like it and, moreover, it makes your blog look different from what you can usually see.
